Hi Everyone, Welcome! Glad you took the time to look us over.

Hi!  I'm Bob Bloomer Director for Area 8  and this is my wife Carol.  We work together along with other members from Area 8.  Let me introduce the team members that do the work to get things done around here.

Our Assistant Area Directors are Ken Jolly, Jackie Kuehl, Larry Philippi and Bob Aparicio and Linda Mincevich.  These Assistant Area Directors are working hand in hand with team mates.  They have chosen to step up and take on the job and to do things as a team instead of trying to do it all by them selves.  It works better for them and they are doing one heck of a job.

We are not a one man band!  By working together we help each other to achieve membership and  participation toward the  organizations goals and purpose.  By working together we bring together complementry skills and experiences, communication, trust, confidence and strengthen our performance capabilities.  We have more fun which is integral to getting things done.   As an exapmle to all this, it is much more fun to attend an informational table or booth at a railroad or old timers function along with  someone else to share the time and work. You will find it much easier to do things toghether rather than going it alone.

Our Area 8 goal and challenge for this year is to double our membership, and establish 8 new units.  Just how do we anticipate meeting our challenge?

When you see our Area 8 team, you see a combined effort by the membership that;

1. Creates the circumstances to get things done.

2. Chooses to get up and get out.

3. Works together as a team.

4  Believes that what the organization means to the railroad family is worth   their time and effort.

5. Is alive and moving.

We are organizing meetings to establish new units, planning and holding railroaders annual luncheons, asking to be present at railroad BBQ's, retirement parties, breakfasts and luncheon meetings.  We are incouraging membership committe people to work as teams, we are encougaging all our membership to get engaged.  We are alive and moving.

This space is being reserved for our area 8 unit meetings, visits and interviews.
